Notes the two-way relationship: scripts are symlinked (one source of truth), but the config/ snippets are inserted by hand into existing omarchy files and must be edited in both places to stay in sync.

Edit this repo and the live config together
Two kinds of files live here. They link to the system differently.
1. Scripts — symlinked (one source of truth)
scripts/ocd-waybar and scripts/ocd-waybar-ctl are symlinked into
~/.config/waybar/scripts/:
~/.config/waybar/scripts/ocd-waybar -> /work/ocpway/scripts/ocd-waybar
~/.config/waybar/scripts/ocd-waybar-ctl -> /work/ocpway/scripts/ocd-waybar-ctl
Edit the file in this repo. The live copy updates at once. Do not edit through the symlink path and do not keep a separate copy.
2. Config snippets — inserted by hand (two copies, keep in sync)
The three files under config/ are not separate files on the system. They are
snippets inserted into existing omarchy config files:
| Snippet in this repo | Inserted into (live file) |
|---|---|
config/waybar-config.jsonc |
~/.config/waybar/config.jsonc (the custom/ocd module block, plus the custom/ocd entry in modules-right) |
config/waybar-style.css |
~/.config/waybar/style.css (the #custom-ocd block) |
config/hypr-autostart.conf |
~/.config/hypr/autostart.conf (the exec-once line) |
These two copies are independent and can drift. When you change a snippet here, also change the matching place in the live file. When you change the live file, also update the snippet here. Keep them byte-for-byte equal.
If the daemon ever stops matching these instructions, re-derive: diff each
config/* snippet against the matching region of its live file, and reconcile
both directions.
